Almost more welding than original metal, by the time pinholes evaporated into holes needing patches I even resorted to inserting a partial baffle, cut to look as much like the original before it fell out and crumbled into a small pile of rusty chips and dust Attachments:

OMG ;D
Good news it made it through the MOT.
It may well now fall off with the weight of weld. lol
Major seat works as well.
I was considering some Gaffa on mine. Does it get sticky to sit on?

Think the mileage might be a good bit higher than shown...... Lots of clues, like the wear on the brake-calipers where the pads have hammered their locating slots, the slack in the handlebar-lever pivots, the shock mountings, and the jumping out of second gear and lots of other things I only noticed when I got it home and started repairing and replacing things. Still, it was cheap, and I know what state everything is in now, so it's like starting almost from scratch... This pic is the radiator, which has an amazing twist across its width, but doesn't leak (yet?) Attachments:

Well spotted that man, yup, the silencer did seem VERY heavy when I re-attached it, (sorry, honesty forces me to admit - "beat it into position, and wound up the new uht-bolt with an electric rattle-gun")
Me, brutal? No, I just don't have time
Sticky seat? Well, it's only temporary, honest (I'll know when I have to give in and buy a cover) (that'll be when enough of the Gaffa has inverted along each of the edges) (i.e. when I try to step off and find I'm stuck firmly to the thing...)

"Get it done.... NOW" Sometimes a 5-minute job is just that..... (not very often!) This pic is the originally white and blue side-panel that had only one inner peg A sawn off coach-bolt, a wide washer each side of the panel, then, on the inside, one small nut, 4mm deep tube spacer, a larger nut and some inert grease Attachments:

ANY suggestions, or anyone with surplus bits for sale? Many thanks for your patience Ed

As im selling up i have spares in the loft that are surplus to requirements now. i have both a front and back wheel, i have a rear shock of a ntv 650 it would of been about 1993 model with around 23,000 miles on it. i have a front caliper(without the bit that attaches to the fork) full standard stubby exhaust system, should have the headstock both lower and upper but they were a bit rusty when i took them off. i do have parts of the final drive but not the full swingarm. message me if your interested in anything or want to know more. good luck on getting your ntv sorted asap sounds like you got a bit to sort out though.

Hi, Stevey, very grateful for the prompt reply I'm interested in the wheels and the shock I reckon 1993 NTV 650 wheels would fit a 1995 NTV 650 bike but..... I will check just in case with some of my trade friends and let you know later today I expect the shock would almost certainly fit straight on I reckon any variations in rear shock-absorbers would be designed to fit the existing frame and swingarm I can't imagine Hodna doing it the other way round..... What drive-line parts do you have? What sort of prices did you have in mind ? I will copy this to you by PM also, if I can Many thanks Ed

Hi, Stevey, One trader reckons your '93 NTV650 wheels will fit my '95 NTV, and the shock also The second guy advised me to check the rear hub-centre-fit dimensions and both rim sizes The third trader didn't know, so I am hopeful at this stage
I need to know how much you want first, of course, but assuming that is agreeable, then my best guess is like this:
I could deal with a little re-working of the shock, if necessary, but not so the wheels Would you mind measuring the front wheel spindle diameter and the rear hub centre diameter and the depth of the rear hub centre bore? My rear shock is 300mm fully extended, with an eye at the top end and a clevis (or fork) at the bottom If you could also weigh the items I could get carriage cost estimates Looking forward to hearing from you All the best Ed

If all else fails ed I have a pair of wheels off my '95 ntv650 up for grabs, just had a spare set powdercoated so these are taking up much needed gatage space!!!
