Hi, bozboz, thanks for the offer, much appreciated Having asked Stevey first, I feel I should see what response follows But then, as a pensioner on a tight budget, price is unavoidably important
To me, an offer from an NTV forum member is far more like a favour than an act of commerce
So, Stevey, bozboz, would it be OK with both of you for me to choose whichever offer I could most easily afford? Looking forward to hearing from you Best regards Ed

NTV is a good forum!
This to bozboz with gratitude: Being a pensioner is my excuse for seeking the most economical option Stevey has set a very reasonable price for his spare pair of wheels He has kindly said he understands my need to be frugal How much would you like for your wheels? Looking forward to hearing from you
All the best Ed

Latest, "It's a fairing, Jim, but not as we know it" Winter arrived, added to old age. A "weather-shield" was needed Scrap: 1mm aluminium sheet, 10mm birch-ply, 3mm polycarbonate Screen, mirrors mounted on tube x-brace between old mirror-mounts (additional polycarbonate/stainless stays bolted to stanchions) White-nylon 65mm bar, drilled and threaded, clamps lower sides Nylon bar mounted on extended front engine cross-bolt "C-shaped" Ply, 75mm sides, parallel-clamped to frame longitudinals Hodna "Helix" (cn250) headlamp clamped under front of plywood Air flows up past overlap of front alloy section, and on up-screen Screen closer to rider than if mounted on fairing, ditto mirrors Overall: CHEAP, good rider and pillion shelter, onlookers puzzled All the best Ed Attachments:

Good man, you have it right, only, they did a better job of "disguising" to seem unique Mine is a simple, honest, giant alloy can "it is what it looks", or, "it does what it says on the tin..." All the best Ed

It was hosing down this morning here in Plymouth, England So the Mrs. & me decided to find out if the barn-door was any use at the Moses stunt 1 mile down the road, I got a left boot full of solid water But that was from an undertaking driver finding the deep puddle I had avoided..... (expletive...) By the time we got back, the boot had almost dried from the warm air off the engine (guess I better devise pivoting vertical side-vents for the hot UK summer we are promised...) Back home we checked each other's kit for visible weather uptake Only a little at the edges, however............ A lot of wet air funnels up the screen and round the helmet-to-collar joint Reckon I'd best get a new helmet, just for winters, possibly a flip-front? (leaving the drop-screen open-face for summer, if we actually get one?) PS "......checking each other's kit....." reminds me of a day in our 2007 motor-scooter tour of Ireland In a park in Killarney frequented by tourist-carrying Jaunting-Cars, (1 horse, BIG wooden wheels, LOTS of ground-clearance, good view from onboard) We had just dried out our kit sitting by a roaring fire for an hour, after a mornings' downpour The sun broke through "Carpe Diem" Rushed out to a stone park bench Each took turns to stand on it being sprayed with "Tent-weatherproofing-Spray" by the other A "Jaunting-Car" passed, slowly. Suddenly realised what the passing American tourist mother had said....... "Weird People!!! DON'T LOOK, CHILDREN Weird People" Ho, hum
