last of the summer wine country

today we went to Holmfirth for a little blast............

the day started off BAD......both of us got pulled by an unmarked BMW
for playing (dragster style)
lucky for us we got off with a cauction..........they had other things to do
so we headed off at a much slower pace..........headed over saddleworth moor in the wind & rain down into Holmfirth & last of the summer wine country

we stopped for a cuppa at Cids cafe & went upto Nora Batty's cottage before goin on the tour vintage bus (converted ford transit)







wew headed back via the woodhead pass



next week were off playing with some steam trains

Oh you werent too far from me, I am only about 35 mins ride from Holmfirth, could have joined ya for a cuppa! I do like holmfirth, even though there isnt much to see. You certainly picked a bad day to cross the pennines.
