If only I could (no good UK regulation that states foreign viewers/listeners should be blocked ) Can't get BBC iPlayer or good ol' VikingFM (anyone know this??) on the net....

That's a poor show of Aunty (not only a term of endearment for your loved one (NTV that is), the sister of one of your Parents, but is also a familiar term for the good old British Broadcasting Corporation (well "old" anyway). I've often listened to Radio 4 online while I'm abroad, both live and "listen again" The iPlayer is only for "view again" so why not available I wonder

have to agree McF
If its only play again once it has already gone out live, what is the problem.
They boast about their world service, should apply across the range.
Maybe it is to protect other foreign TV networks from unfair competition?

nah, the broadcasting licenses for programs they buy are for the UK only, so is the money spend on development for iPlayer etc. For the same reason the satellite that BBC, ITV and SKY use are narrow beam, meaning their footprint should only include the brittish ilses....fortunatly for me, that means the channel islands as well, and the beam also includes the Netherlands (partially), so I still get everything of british TV that's free to air I understand the policies....just that I used to listen to Viking....and suddenly got the "This media stream is only available to mainland Brittain, if you blablablah" voice :S Oh....Back on topic, I did catch parts of the fastest indian, it seemed like a good movie
