Let me introduce you to my mate shifty, shifty is as you can probably guess by the nickname a bit dodgy he has a tendancy to abuse bikes severely here he is introducing the world to his revere: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgOYFgc5AsMProbably the worst ntv on the road it has a few issues No airfilter No silencer (actually it has a third of a motad silencer which makes it louder than having no silencer at all!!) No oil No water No pads Knackered discs broken footpegs No keys (his landlord lost them hence the screwdriver!) No mirrors the tank isnt bolted down the paint is terrible the seat is ruined the top of the battery is worn away where the seat rubs on it front wheel bearings and head bearings shot headlight and brackets off a 2001 bandit (bent and loose) throttle is incredibly stiff (he says cruise control) theres probably more, there is a bracket for him to rest his leg on the left hand side due to a previous accident he now cant bend his leg far enough to reach the footpeg and uses his heel to change gear! doesnt stop him scraping the pegs round most corners though!

Full of character anyway, and sound logic behind your introduction to NTVs.
Did "Shifty" ever join our clan? I didn't see his name in the members list. He is certainly qualified to join and no doubt has plenty of tales and advice to offer

A collegue of mine rode a revere, that's how I first noticed them. He never did any maintenance on it at all for the ±5 years he rode on it...... He eventually sold it (a few months ago & still running), because a dealer told him that it was cheaper to buy a different second hand bike, than to do all the required maintenance on the revere. He now rides a Yamaha Diversion and has already had a few problems with the chain Franklin
