bit confusing title...speedo not working or throttle cable snapped? i would guess that pull cable is one that you use when turning throttle to accelerate.take tank off and you should be able to see on left hand side of bike

Highly confused The normal technical title is cable A (pull) and cable B (push) The Honda Part numbers are Cable A = 17910-MN8-670 Cable B = 17920-MM5-010 I'm not sure where the numbers RJ quotes from, are they a shop's stock number? Cable A (pull) is the one that comes under tension when you open the throttle, it pulls the carb butterfly valve open and increases air/fuel flow into the engine giving that much desired "Oooomph". You can tell this cable by the adjuster at both ends. Cable B (push) is the one that comes under tension when you close the throttle, it helps the springs on the carbs close the butterfly valve ending the "Oooomph". There are no tension adjusters on this cable. It is practical to use the bike with only cable A (pull). If cable b (Push) snaps, the springs will close the valves when you close the throttle Hope this helps Update I googled the part numbers posted by RJ and they look like BitzforBikes stock numbers. Interesting that they're both the same price, cable A (Pull) is normally a little more expensive. PS - Wemoto sell Cable A for £15.55 and Cable B for £13.80, both plus postage

I thought I would look up costs for a new one and came on all the push pull sfuff!! Much as I would love to ride to spain at some point I think I have alot to learn first! Thanks for the help
