Yesterday I had the opportunity to ride a Suzuki Intruder (the big one...). It has a 1800 cc V2 engine and weighs 380 kg (that without me on top........). It costs about 15.000 euro's (new) in the Netherlands. If you decide to buy it, you've wasted your money, because it's a horrible machine. You'd think that for all this money they could make a nice & smooth running engine, but it's a very rough engine. Also the tyres are so wide. If the road surface isn't completely level, there is a risk of falling over. And you really wouldn't want all that weight on you leg....... My advice: don't buy it. Franklin

It's not for me either
At 330Kg fuelled up (but no luggage) I thought the mighty Pan was a heavyweight.
I've ridden one of these too and I cannot see the attraction. Having your feet forward isn't a biking position!

Well, the riding position can best be described as sitting in an armchair. It's a very lazy position. And not really that bad if your speed is below 80 km/h.
There is an awful lot of power: the machine took me to quite illegal speeds in next to no time.
And at those speeds, the riding position isn't very comfortable anymore. Especially because mine didn't have a windscreen fitted.

Well never having ridden a Harley and just going by the reviews I have read, I reckon...... IF suzuki wanted a true copy of the 'Hog' experience, a roughish engine and feet forward would be part of that experience... ;D Porbably have to add sh1tty brakes as well...hehehe And with that design brief it was probably meant for the Smooth Slabs of the motorways and freeways of the world, which according to franklin it can do at a fair old clip.... McF, the Pan felt HUGE & Heavy when i sat on it, so god knows how cumbersome this beast is. Too heavy for me i fear, althought the thought of a big FJR yamaha does have some appeal for me... yamaha FJRMust get me a demo ride so I can talk with some experience.... ;D ;D Jaz
