Hi All, does anyone know where I can get the clamp/bracket that holds the front downpipe to the cylinder? The front one on my bike has been welded to the stud and I need to get it off as the exhaust is loose where it goes into the engine. Also, I'm going to have to remove the stud but there should be enough to weld a nut on, I hope.
Thanks.

You could try a breakers, or even make one if you have access to steel plate thick enough and the tools to machine it. A simple piece of plate with three holes in it would do; I can send measurements if you need them
The front and rear pipes are slightly different diameter (the front is slightly larger if I recall correctly) so be careful to get the right one if you contact a breakers. They may want to sell you the entire front pipe with it, but the plate (I'm sure) will come off.
Are you sure the clamp has been welded to the stud? Sounds like a naughty botch job.
Good luck and please report back with progress McF

Thanks McF. Yeah, some nice person welded the bracket, I'll post some pics when I get around to fixing it. I think I could probably fabricate one if necessary. There's a set of front pipes on ebay at the minute for £30, I might consider buying. I'll report how I get on, probably later in the week.
