hello so im normally very good at diagnosing a problem but this has baffled me.
been away for 10 days came back and went out for a ride on my ntv did about 70 miles then evry nown and then it would go down to 1 cylinder for a few seconds then be fine. got to about 100 miles and stoped off at the coast started the bike back up and carryed on but it was only runing on one so i stoped and it died.
waved down a aa van and asked to borrow a test light found out no power to the front coil or the fule pump so pulled up the wire diagram and thought it might be the cdi, got recoverd home and tested it no power comeing out from the cdi to the front coil or pump so changed the cdi and there was no power for a wile so carryed on testing then there was power and the bike run.
so i thought it was sorted went to test it and broke down again got home left it over night came out this morning has power again and run went to test it around the block it was fine then started to cut out again so limped it home.
now i have changed the cdi the fule pump transistor and stil doing it.
does anyone know what i should check next? im at witts end atm just cant work it out from the wire diagram if there was a slip from the cdi to the coil or pump there would still be power at the cdi end so im guessing it must be something going into the cdi. if there was a split in the wire or the pulse gen that runs to the front coil could that be intermittent and how would i go about checking it?
