ok my ntv650 failed it's mot due to the handlebars just touching the powerbronze fairing so there is no quick fix i can think off apart from buy new headlight holder new indicators and fitting brackets.
would it be possible to take off the fairings and just leave the fairing frame on for the mot HaHa i have had this bike about 8 months and i i love it but it keeps giving me nasty surprises.
whoever fitted the powerbronze fairing is a fool and how they ever passed a mot with it on is past me and the fairing has been on a long long time because it has all the tell tale signs.
anybody know if there is any way to extend the bracket that holds the fairing my alternative is to get a angle grider take the fairings off and just cut off the bits of frame that dont hold the headlight.

Any chance of some pictures of the bike and the contact point.
Other members have / had powerbronze fairings fitted and may be able to help with fitting tips.

Without looking at it, it`s hard to come up with a quick fix but...............if you feel comfortable riding it as is, is there any reason you can`t just loosen the handlebar clamps and tip the bars back just enough so that they don`t touch the fairing? The MOT man couldn`t throw it out then and you could put them back to where they were once you`ve got your ticket in your hand! Time taken - 5mins Cost - zilch, nada, nowt Jobs a good `un

i couldnt move the handlebars back anymore as they where hitting the tank
but hey the mot centre sorted it i took my new dunlop tyres down and got them fitted all for £40
i ride out the mot centre and come to a roundabout off i go and the bike slides from under me these new tyres are like riding on ice
so i need a new handlebar and foot peg what a bloody day well at least i got the bike a new mot and a set of slippery tyres.
and and the fairing is sorted

oops.
At least you seem ok?
As you say you have an MOT and the bike sounds fixable.

The Dunlop StreetSmart that I currently have on the front of mine was the worst tyre I've ever had for the amount of releasing agent still on it (and I've had a few tyres over the years!) It took around 100 miles before I started feeling comfortable with it, but ever since it's been great - hot/cold/wet/dry. Hope you get the bike fixed up again soon.

ATB Roger ok i posted a video on youtube i will do a better one if needed youtu.be/m80EO7QhyLQi can also take measurements if anyone with a powerbronze colt fairing can let me know lenth of the arm that fits to the bike frame that holds the fairing frame the arm/bracket that fits to the bike frame that holds the fairing frame seems to be too short. i dont know if this can be adjusted dosent look like it though i fitted renthal ultra low handlebars and they fit good no problems with cables just a straight swap and drill a 1/8 hole for the lug in the throttle housing www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvCwfeCKvLw&feature=youtu.beany help on the powerbronze fairing would be great
