ok i have been on my back upside down looking to see where the spring attaches from the brake switch i cant see where the tiny hole is on the pedal fitting. might have to turn the bike upside down wash it and get a floodlight and a magnifying glass for all the haynes manual is worth any help

Interests me to see if with those non radial tyres you notice much change. In theory that are more rigid then radials, so should be more uncomfortable and with a smaller foot print because of less flex, I would also expect them to run cooler.

oh no thats too techie for me what have i bought are these the wrong kind Dunlop Arrowmax
i just got them because they are for ntv650
i have continental's on at the moment but the back one is borderline and mot is due.

oh no thats too techie for me what have i bought are these the wrong kind Dunlop Arrowmax These are original size and type - bias ply, rather than radial, so no problem. Some people fit radial tyres to NTVs now (all modern bikes are fitted with them), but the problem is finding a radial tyre for the front in the original size (110/80-17). Most front wheels are now wider and 120/70-17 is almost standard for fronts on road bikes. You can get radials in 110/70-17 and they will fit, although most tyre manufactures recommend a wider wheel size (2.75" or 3.0", rather than 2.5" on the NTV). Rear fitment is no problem, but mixing radial/bias-ply is frowned on/illegal, depending on which way round!
