hi everyone! Newbie from Dorset in the uk. SO i just purchased yesterday a new old ntv 650 (94) with the help of this forum and youtube to gain info and read reviews etc.and thought id sign up and be part of the gang! i rode it 25 miles or so on the way home (after stopping at morrisons for air as the tyres were on 8psi ). the ride home was great, sun was up and as ive not owned a bike for some 7 years or so, it was great to get back on one! the ntv runs well, im sure it will do me fine, any advice on improvements will be appreciated. pleased to meet you all!

hi sasquatch, welcome mate..yes gold wheels look great.. one upgrade is a braided rear brake pipe. this tends to help rear braking a little not so much flex as the rubber hose under braking,, bike looks mint, cheers the slug..

Cheers for the tip, will get it done over the next couple of pay days lol. Need a new rear tyre soonish. Runs well and am enjoying being back on 2 wheels filtering nicely they the morning traffic. Changed the oils and filter last weekend and seems a bit happier. Unfortunately I had to treat myself to new road tax so that's it for this month!

Welcome. Tidy bike. Does not look like it needs anything doing. :-)

Welcome, it's a great feeling to get back on a bike after a long break. Confience comes back quickly on a bike like the NTV. It certainly looks a nice original one, same colour as mine, I think, unless yours is definitely all black now I look again. Gold wheels look good, were they an original option? Exhaust looks original too. Enjoy.

The guy I got it from had a spare which was also for sale. He had bought the non runner for spares as he needed a new rad and it was cheaper to get a doner bike than the new rad. The motad exhaust was off the doner but not sure about the wheels, I've got used to them now so will leave them as they are til at least next spring
