Went down to Knockhill for the BSB racing on Sunday - Father's Day gift from the lad, good boy! Anyway, while dragging our sorry arses along the usual queue to get in, Wee Norman decided to have a little coolant widdle thanks to the fan not kicking in - I know it's hard to believe but yes, it was warm and sunny!
So, today I got a chance to investigate and the long and the short of it is, the fan's totally burgered, feels and sounds like the motor is lubricated by gravel and no amount of volts from the shed battery will spin it up. One of the 3 small screws in the back of the motor came undone easily, the other 2 didn't and would need drilling out if I could be arsed, which I can't as I don't believe I can pull a Lazarus on this motor, it's definitely an ex-parrot!
Anyone got a good motor lying about looking for a new home? Or suggestions for a replacement unit from something other than an NTV - surely Honda used the same fan on more than one bike?
Anything?
Ta.

Thanks for the offers guys, got a motor off a CBR600F that's exactly the same, just needed the main electrical block connector changed (NTV-female connection, CBR-male, they trying to tell us something?).
