Hi Folks Bit late notice, but me an Jan will be at Steam In The Park this Fri-Sun ( 11-12 May), "exhibiting" our CX500(no panniers on NTV for 2-up camping...yet). If you're not going to Lanark Show, why not pop over? classicshowsuk.co.uk/carshoweventsinformation/carshow_date.asp?id=396This is the first time it's been held at this new venue, so numbers appreciated. Turn off M90 about 10 miles East of Perth (by the artisan PIEMAKER!). At old venue, you could get a wee ride on some of the traction engines, and some owners would LET YOU DRIVE for a bit. Wonderful! However, I suspect H&S may have caught up with that particular wonder. However, the SMELLS and sounds make this an amazing event. Lots of car clubs on Sunday too. In June (14-16) Edinburgh MAG holds its wee rally, at the Stair Arms Hotel, outside Pathhead (10 miles S of Edinburgh, on A68). Camping round the back of the hotel, or book a room. 250 limit, rock bands, disco, etc, and to be frank, MAG (and BMF) need all the support they can get to keep bikes on the road in UK. Nice food (it's a hotel!), MAG discount, pre-book discount by 18th May. www.stairarmshotel.com/index.htm (don't recognise the MAG members in the photo!) "For Tickets and information contact edinburghmag@aol.com or 07973660684, 07833264878 " (Think Tickets are £18/£14 pre-book...even tho poster says £20!!!) Guess what? This is the first time THIS event has been at THIS venue too. Watch out for our black CX, or maybe the NTV, again.

Hey, Pikey, come and say Hi if you're there! I'll probably be on black CX Euro as it holds more stuff for 2-up camping (tho I HAVE got another set of K2 rails, sometime to fit to the NTV...).

Can`t do the Edinburgh MAG event either, will be flying down south on the 14th, but plenty of folk I know will be there. I hope it`s better than the last MAG do there which was very poorly attended (maybe les than 30 people).

Unbelievable - Rain stayed OFF (except nighttime...and Sat 5-7pm apparently, but I'd fallen asleep during those 2 hours), contrary to forecast, and sometimes it was SUNNY!
Do miss lovely "farmer-cooked food" from old venue, and bonfire, but both nights' bands were VERY good (Penetrations - what a crap name for a non-punk band, but really stunning playing, wide variety of stuff). Hotel food good, one real ale on tap plus usual stuff, and camping area is very nice, choice of open view/field, or garden/trees/tables/kids climbing frames!
Brilliant trophies by Kev (tho appropriately, the winner of Best Engineering managed to BREAK her trophy!)
Friday a bit quiet, Saturday better - how do you get more folk involved with these things, given that MAG/BMF is what keeps bikes on the road in the UK? Rally organised/run by literally a handful of folk, to whom it's hats off!
