Welcome slug and wishes that you have many happy experiences with your aNTy.
You will find seat height to ground a little bit of a stretch, but once you're under way, a lot of people complain about limited distance from seat to peg so you should be fine
A common complaint we all hear is problems with 1st (or sometimes 2nd) gear jumping out. Riders that do experience this compensate by not bothering with that gear.
your aNTy is just about bomb proof and will give you many miles of grin worthy rides.
a few things to check before you take her on the road: Make sure you are happy that all fluids have been changed and to the right level check condition of disks - are they heavily work? are the pads gripping the full width of the disk, is there any sign of corrosion on the disk surface? Check Tyres, pressure and tread Suspension is sound with full range of movement, damping is OK and no oil on forks No play in swinging arm, wheel bearings or head stock Full and true movement and operation of controls, pay particular attention to the brakes. have a good look at the exhaust collector box, right underneath. it is prone to rust. If it does have any holes, you're likely to get popping when you throttle back. While you're underneath, have a good look at the Centre Stand (if fitted) and make sure it is free to move and has a spring in place to keep it up. Have a good look at the security of the plastic panels, in particular the right hand side to ensure they aren't going to fall off
When you get some time, it is well worth: Going over all of your electrics, take connectors apart, clean the terminals and apply a spot of vaseline or similar, particularly in and around the headlight (take care because you'll struggle to get all of the wiring back into the headlight if you just pop the lens off without noting (take some photos) how it's all set out. remove, clean and lubricate the brake calipers and their pads (not the friction surface!) you don't need to remove the calipers, you can do all of this while they're still plumbed in. Get access to the Voltage Regulator (behind Right Hand side Panel) and ensure the cooling fins aren't clogged up
Performance enhancements you might think about: Replace the brake lines with braided stainless steel ones Upgrade your headlight, some members have fitted HID systems Add LED running lights - RJ2Para can help with a good company that offers a discount
Whereabouts are you based? A town or nearby location is sufficient
