Not Honda related. But I am interested to hear anything good or bad you may have to share on the Yamaha TDM900. I am starting to think about next bikes and these look old enough to be affordable which I thought was a good a place as any to start. Cheers Rj

I did alot of research into the TDM 900 and got lots of good feedback from most peeps, was on my list for next bike after the NTV but the 900F was at a good price when i was looking.
So the TDM should suit you RJ as I know you like a bit of off road rideing and it seems to do it all.
So in your shoes I would go for it. ;D

Thanks for your thoughts Skyhook.
Early doors yet, planned for the end of next year. Just enjoying the research for now.
It does look like an interesting option and with added attraction of being a twin.

Stonkingly good, I`ve also got a Yamaha TRX850 so fully appreciate the pedigree that the 900`s have. Long lived motors, handle extremely well and kinda do everything you might want to do right up to twice past the legal speed limit

Mine even more so, streetfightered with an 878cc JE kit, Carillo rods, 1mm oversize valves with ported head, plus Over big bore headers with titanium / carbon mini cans and Keihin FCR41 flatslides. Currently being further `modded` and a work in progress.

Hi, not been on for a bit and saw this in the recent posts. I am looking to the future sometime and the TDM does look like a good package and well suited to the all rounder type of rider that seems to be attracted to the ntv. The reviews seem to make the later 850s or the 900s the best buy but the earlier ones have got to be good value now. If you can find one with luggage and not may miles it should have a lot of life and miles left in it.

They do look interesting, time will tell. Much as I would like my Revere to last forever.
