Nice one Jazz ;D - That's Yorkshire for you - every season in one day, looks like it's every season in one street! Nice looking aNTy Paulie. Which silencer have you got fitted? Renntec racks have been a source of discussion for a long time. Many people have complained about the rack snapping. Renntec only approve them for use up to 2.5Kg, but do not state this on their advertising www.renntec.co.uk/iqs/dbitemid.354/sfa.view/sport_racks_carriers.htmlI emailed them some time ago about it. Here is my question and their reply: Hi I'm thinking of buying one of your sports racks to fit my Honda NTV 650. I use the bike for work commuting and touring, circa 400 mile trips once per month. I have a Givi Monokey Top Box. Are you aware of any fixing problems that would prevent me using the plate and box on the rack? Hi Ian Thankyou for your enquiry. Our carriers are not designed to take Top boxes as this exhorts to much stress on the rack and the maximum weight limit is 2.5kg. However we are aware that people do use them for this purpose, it is down to the discretion of the customer as to how they use their carrier, we as a company would advise against it. If \i can be of further help, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards Claire Sales Department Renntec Ltd Tel: 01202 826722 Fax: 01202 826747 For reference, a bag of sugar weighs 2Kg so by the time you have strapped this to your rack there isn't much spare capacity. Be warned! Your rack could fall apart at any time, your top box landing neatly in front of large HGV with disastrous consequences. I would certainly not put anything valuable in there .

I think that was the ONLY day that it didnt rain up here! Yes they are grey protectors on the tank, the old guy who owned it before me put them on aswell as the rack. I didnt know they are only supposed to hold 2.5kg, I must have had over 10kg on it......
It's a Motad silencer on it which is now rusting to hell. The paint was applied by a blind man weilding a stick cos its so badly done.

Thanks, I keep going to sell her and buy something new. I know I will do eventually but she does run faultless. Most of my riding is two-up so I need something bigger.
