I know a lot of modern bikes have permanently lit headlights (when running).
Is it possible to run the "Parking/Position" light on a Revere on a constant basis with the standard bulb.
I want to run the "Position" light and also two Bike-Vis lights on a permanent basis (when running). Do I need to change the "Position" bulb to something different.

Not really an answer to your question but I've come to the conclusion that its better for the longevity of your electric charging circuit for the lights to be on when you ride (rectifier / battery).
It seems to be that the bulb element is a better buffer for spikes in the charging circuit as you rev up and down on motorbikes. Excess charge given off as heat on the bulb rather than heat in the rectifier. Visually seen as dimming or glowing of the headlight as you rev. Bulbs are cheaper.
I think this might be one of the reasons that manufacturers chose to have the lights on all the time.

On some of the modern bikes, it's impossible to turn off the lights. Your only choice is dipped-beam or high-beam. If you have a decent quality bulb in your front position light, then (yes) you can have it on all the time. I always have my dipped beam turned on. Up to a few months ago, this meant that my front position light was also burning. And I never changed that bulb for many years. But why don't you turn on your dipped beam ? I know it won't prevent an accident, but it will improve your chances of being seen & thus not involved in an accident GvS

Thanks for the good advice GvS.
I was concerned that the bulbs wouldn't stand it and that modern bikes may be fitted with different bulbs. On reflection you could be riding for hours in the dark and your light would be on for that time anyway.
I'm going to steal your mounting system anyway ;D
