Top news. Proper camping. How was the bead seat Seer? Was it a big improvement? What is hapening in the last shot? Sleeping or checking the fuel?

ok, back in the land of the living again now, so here goes: i met up with Sear in Rhayader on saturday morning for a coffee before we made our way to Bala via a route that Dan had figured out in his head i think, as we didn't have to stop much to check which way to go. coffee stop in Rhayader the following pictures are from our ride to Bala: then we met up with Norfolk and Hubcap at Bala Lake, and went over the top to the campsite, which was ace! Sunday Morning, we went into Criccieth, through the mist and drizzle. but by the time we got to the beach, the sun was out, and we were feeling a little bit more human. we had another cupof coffee and a teacake in the tea shop, then off to llanberis. oh, talking of Llanberis, Petes eats deserves a special mention. the breakfast was enough to nearly kill us due to it's size, and the mugs of coffee are a whole pint! then back to the campsite after a long days riding. it was a clear night, Dan and I did some (unsuccessful) fishing, and much large fire making ensued then, all too soon, it was the last day, so time to pack up, and then stand by your bikes then, the last stop - the Ponderosa. the next time we stopped, we went our seperate ways, but hopefully we will all meet again soon ;D so, that's the few pics i took. i only have one question......... when's the next one!!!! ?

Wonderful pictures of Pen Y Garreg dam. (Returned me to my youth.) (I regularly camped with my son further on towards Aberystwyth...) I'm deeply envious!!!
For information: - A lovely bit of, (Little used.) road, a little south of that area. I reckon it'd be a wonderful ride. (I was always in a van.) is; 'Upper Chapel, Powys' to 'Tregarron, Ceredigion' & the return. (Used; 'Route 43' a few times, but personally preferred B4519.) The suggested route; 'B4519' is 30 miles & 1 hour 23 minutes, lol.
I discovered it as a cut across to avoid tourists & loved it... I seldom got stopped by the army, but it used to happen??? But the sights, (Wildlife as well as views), the smells. (Forest.) Made it a pleasure... Even at night! (Star gazing: - So clear!) I seldom made it in 1 hour 23 minutes. (Or less.) Because; I'd have to stop... & just enjoy!
As I said; 'I'm deeply envious!!!'

Had a great weekend, bead seat made a HUGE difference for me, slightly higher seating position, and rain water drains away easily. I find I get less figity after 100-150 miles, really pleased! just a £10 job off of ebay, lop the head bit off and tie the ends up. Bike performed amazingly really, really impressed with it! Really worth every penny I've invested in it so far, and much much more really. heres a couple of the pictures I got over the last 2 weeks: One from the top of the Hardknott pass in the Lakes where I was the 10 days before the wales trip, really fun road! Buttermere: Road up from Buttermere, heading north to take the Honister pass on the way down: Wales: Lovely sunshine in betws-y Was great to meet everyone and i had a fantastic weekend, hopefully the first of many. Wales is a staggering place, so much fun.

Looks like you had a great time, I feel quite envious! I have spent a lot of time up there and the pictures bring back load of memories going out on the hills or climbing then hitting the bar! If possible I'll try and attend next time - providing partner and kids pacified.
