OK update on me Xj900f got new brush's and new holders from Yamaha, thats why they cost so much, and NO!! they don't do brush's on there own. But as is the norm with WLY they forgot the gasket, so instant gasket was used.
Thanks ilegalalien for the link, just recived phone call from them after sending them me brush's, all done for less than £15, now dont I feel the fool...........lol
But bike up and running again and a spare brush holder and new brush's.

np m8.. know them years.. when we were fixing up a old Norton 16H.. it turned out the brushes were almost the same as a common tractor and cost a whopping £6 for 2... went to a well know bike shop in Birmingham and they wanted £25, then i also got a tip from a pal in New Dheli India... 40p plus P&P, they still carry many spares for Nortons out in India.... If i need any brushes i always give these guys in Southampton a call 1st...
