hi buzzin. Buzzin i wasn't sure, so i double checked and you definitely bought a 'Motorbike' and not a 'Mountin goat'...... ;D some stretches of that ride were a liitle bit too narrow (and High) for my liking.. and the tunnel section.....mmmhh the film 'saw' came to mind..... And 'Off road training' ?...good idea cos IF you go off road there, you ain't stopping until the next village....... 200 metres down!! (Ps, could get some tips on going downhill fast from McF...while he's still fresh from his ski-ing break... ;D ) Nice Vid, but i think i'll stick to two lanes and a black top...

Hehe, well, I prefer thinking of things you usually wouldn't do. (like the trip to the UK this spring) The offroad will have to wait untill I am confident enough I can handle the Strom properly.... I just made the apointment for her first service (600 miles/1000 km) and the dealer didn't have time till thursday (next week that is).....so not running her around this weekend So far I love the ride....eventhough I have figured out a few things... - I need stiffer suspension, I'll fiddle with the setting (fully adjustable ) but I might end up changing the springs - I NEED a forkbrace - Need to install my windshield bracket. - It's too big. Or rather, once I drive the strom....getting on the NTV makes it feel like a toy bike All in all, enjoying the new strom, and still like my NTV to bits (ehh...not literally)

Ok, just to give an impression of what happened on my lovely Suzi: I braked on a bit of asfalt that wasn't entirely clean. Turns out braking on grid/gravel is a recipe for disaster. This is the result: Link to the google albumGrand total for the replacement parts: 469,- euro Yes, the weird man in the reflection is me

What a shame Buzzin Replace indicator (presume you have by now) the scuffed fairing looks bad, but you may be able to make it look a lot better with a small amount of cash plus some time and elbow grease (hope you get that one!) wet and dry body filler some masking tape and a can of paint There must be some places you could even take it to for a local repair, probably a lot less than a new panel. Will it be easy to remove?

Hi Buzzin, Will I make you very angry if I say: "You should have bought the 650 with ABS" ? If this does make you angry I won't say it of course....... Glad you weren't injured. Franklin

;D lol I suspect it may. You should not hit a man while he is down, Franklin . Are you having to replace the panels Buzz or will any of it polish out? Shame to see her looking so sad but as Fanklin says its good you are ok and wiser. If at a large cost. All the best Roger

Nah, I'm replacing the panel in this picture (grooves are too deep) The panel was only 144,-. The indicator was ... wait for it.... 50,-! I'm also replacing the crashbars for new ones....as the old ones are bent. The Big side panel will need some TLC, as will the Big case on the back (too bloody expensive to replace...no option to repair) And to be honest...I doubt if ABS would have helped...it was too dirty and the angle was wrong (I wasn't fully upright). But I know one thing now: If you have to turn around, do it in the middle of the bloody road even if it means stopping traffic Ow and another: French asfalt always looks rough and if it has grid....sometimes it actually does

well buzzin there is your problem That WILL get you everytime................... ;D ;D If you are replacing the panel are you going to try repairing it? Some filler and some rubbing down (and with it off the machine you can take your time) you might find the result pretty impressive. It might do as a replacement for any future spills (I trust and Pray to god that doesn't happen to you again) or you could sell it on ebay to recover some of the cost of the new part. Oh and franklin...naughty naughty, but bl00dy funny.. ;D (sorry Buzzin.. )
