Thanks to members for new fork leg, and font mudguard. Went to visit my folks on it (Edin-Castle Douglas) And last week went camping with friend on 650 Bros. I bet Kirrie Pete knows the location of the spitfire... Bike is great (not sure I'll keep the fairing, but it was handy when very wet) - thanks again RJPARA and ED, and others who advised. Nice easy bike to work on, and so economical!

Hurrah! Another red one! We all know the red ones are best, despite the efforts of the turquoise brigade .... I bet Kirrie Pete knows the location of the spitfire... Moffat? A retired GP if memory serves me well. I kinda like the fairing, suits the nature of the bike, no? If you want rid. I'm in a charitable mood and would give it a home, maybe even contribute to the BBF (Brendan Beer Fund) .....

Pleased to see the mudguard being used. You can only use one at a time . Have to say I also like the fairing, I also like the naked look but a fairing would make it easier to cover to larger distances. You could always try both. How did you find the waterproof bag, assuming that is what it is?

Looks really nice, especially with the fairing If you are planning to cover longer journeys and in all weathers, I would really recommend leaving the fairing on

I agree, the fairing suits it more than most faired NTVs I have seen, and its actually a really nice shape!

Bloodyell, you guys all like yr fairings!
Atlthough I know they're practical, I tend to go for nekkid bikes more. But I've never had to bother myself taking the things OFF, so who knows?
Yes, Spitfire is in bloke's gdn in Moffat.
Waterproof bag is "Gladstione"-style one from HG, £30 reduced to £18, stayed dry though it doesn't look like it would. Replaces dry bag that I set on fire with MT-03 (hi-level pipes - the exhaust BLAST set it alight, no contact on pipe!).
I love drybags!
Passed MOT on Wed, then on Thurs had to bump start it to get home from work. Think battery on way out (a gel/MF one).
