Rather out of my league I'm afraid Assuming all connections are sound and earth points are good I'd point to the Alternator, Regulator and Battery
New Battery and Regulator by the sounds of things, so how good is your alternator?
suggest you save yourself a lot of time by buying your advice from someone at a bike shop, especially if they take a few beers instead of a lot of beer tokens ;D
Matters Electrick are a black art for me - sorry!

first fire the bike up & check the voltage of battery with engine running 13volt & over is ok if its under that then first check the connection block from alternator & give it a good clean & check voltage again
if the voltage has gone up then its dirty contacts
hope this helps

Random thought but I just repaired the cables from the ignition where they were rubbing on the fairing mounting on the front of the headstock.

If you managed to jump start on hill, is the reason for not starting that the starter motor wasn't turning over? If so, it points finger at some specific areas: Starter Motor - goosed Starter relay - goosed insufficient battery charge - battery flat/not charging/goosed "kill" switch - this isolates the starter from working, not sure if it immobilises ignition too "starter" button - poor contacts relays with clutch switch, neutral indicator and side stand - set up prevents engine running or starting if stand down, not in neutral or clutch not in
If the starter was turning over, but engine not firing and then it fired when bump started that's very mysterious.
Long process of elimination for you and I'm afraid electrickery isn't my strong point.
Take a basic, logical approach and examine each part of the system in isolation. An electrical test meter allowing you to check for continuity (this end of the wire is definetely connected to the other end of the same wire) and presence of 12V (I have power getting through to "here" from the battery). Is about the limit of things I could do. This does not confirm that eg voltage regulators are doing their job, so I'd be down to see the experts!
If the problem is intermittent, try starting the bike, leaving on tickover and try to find out what causes the engine to cut out. Waggle the wires about, listen for sparking etc. Likely places to start are where loom passes around the headstock and inside the headlight.
Good luck and please report back with progress - what works as well as what does not.

Gazzantv6, did you ever manage to fix the NTV?
Oddjob1, is everything still ok?
