Earlier this week, Brendan0 mentioned in passing a bridge up at Calvine. This is a direct result of that remark, so you can blame him! Sunday morning, the faithful head for Church/Pub, some of us head for our own form of spiritual elightenment - it's Bridge Club time! Let's start simple at: Head on up over the Moulin Moor to Pitlochry and pop over this fella: Nothing special about this bridge - apart from the scenery it's sitting in the middle of ... If you would care to look out of the right of the vehicle, you will see MacKilimanjaro in it's full glory: Problem is, these danged wooly marshals everywhere..... At last, the object of our desire - Calvine/Struan: A bridge over a bridge over a river: Let's head for home, via: Getting on for tea time, innit? Wonder if the new bridge will last as long .... Blimey - another footbridge in that Scottish light (over the Garry, just north of Pitlochry) Nearly home now: What's the roads like, you ask? Brush, degreaser, hose, 10 minutes: What's Bambi got to do with any of this? Din-dins for tomorrow night: Yummy! For the cartographers among you - here's the route, Googly maps linkEnjoy!

Maps food and Motorbikes and some more great pics. Good effort. Starting to like your bridge idea. I drive under 2 on the way to work over another and under two more on the way home. Well done : New background of the week.

Lovely!
No biking this weekend, but was away staying in wee wooden huts ("Kokoons") near Gorebridge, Midlothian - fun, but chilly. Took Jan's car.
Today, we WALKED over Lothian Bridge, a disused rail bridge (an absolute whopper!) spanning the A7 and a river (the S Esk??) and a minor road. It's at Lothianbridge. Not exactly open to all, but not properly locked either (from S end).
No doubt Pete will be down next weekend! You will have to park up to cross it though.
(Oh Pete, that reminds me - Water of Fleet rail bridge in the hills behind Gatehouse of Fleet! Again, on foot only though.)

How about going international and bagging this one It's known as the Bridge o'er the Atlantic, but more formally as "Clachan Bridge" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clachan_BridgeNot my photos but I've been there (many years ago) and it's well worth a drive to visit

Forgot to mention I'd found Norfolk's snow - too bad it's at the top of a hill...
Think the next Bridge Run may be Killin then up Loch Tay to Aberfeldy - could be 3 wallpapers in a row at this rate!
If this is Globollox Warming, I love it!
Edit to add - bimbling along at 45-50mph like this brings extra dividends .... 70mpg anyone?
