well, very little in the way of updates really, mostly spent yesterday rerouting the wiring loom in accordance with thatsawkwards wonderfully scanned in pictures looking much better now, and almost ready to tidy into the headlamp bowl and connect the battery. the rear brake caliper has been stripped down a bit and cleaned, lubed and refitted, along with a nice red coated braided hose courtesy of wemoto. the front was going the same way - hose fitted to master cylinder, clean up caliper, oh, wait a minute, what's this? it is hard to see, but the seal has started to pop out where the metal around the piston has crumbled away, much like another poster on this forum i believe anyway, i had a spare caliper that i could butcher and make 1 good one out of two. but the pad pin wont come out, and the previous owner has rounded off the hex hole. no amount of heat would remove the d**n thing, so i now have a hornet one on it's way from the bay of E. i hope it's in better nick that the current one...... i have also started refitting all of the cooling system, but fell over at the point where one of the hoses was split. David silvers to the rescue, and along with some other shiny bits, a new one was ordered. so, that's it so far. there won't be any updates for a while as i am at work for the next 7 days, then off to New York for a bit ;D more updates when i return, along with some pics of the Decals that are going on her (i hope!) looking incredible man! Seriously, is the frame just hammerite silver?? I;m gonna have to do the same with mine sometime. The speedo cable should be with you soon I hope. NTVs are great looking bikes, arent they! Like the little black detailing on the footpeg hangers as well.

ok, small update, as i was getting withdrawal symptoms........ the replacement caliper arrived, and i took a minute to clean it up a bit, looks much better than the original one on there that's all for now. apart from the fact that my new indicators have turned up from Hein Gericke, so i can get them sorted, oh, and the new generator cover gasket is leaking a bit, so time for some hylomar i think........

ok, looking into replacement seat covers. found wemoto do a budget one for about £20, or a 'decent' one for £30. was going to go for the better one, but had a moment of inspiration. there is an auto trimmers round the back of tesco in baldock, the name escapes me, but i thought i'd nip over there to get a quote. £30 to have it done with silver 'carbon weave' effect in the centre, with black around the sides, and a handle added to aid seat removal. should be done next weekend, as he's pretty busy. i will report back when i get it back, but in the meantime, here is a ropey MS paint version ;D

Whaaaa £30??? Thats great! I'd be tempted to have that done on a seperate seat base for my bike, looking forwards to seeing how it looks.

found the details for them:
A&R Pound, Unit 27 28 Baldock SG7 6NG 01462 892704
i've used them in the past for some mini seats, and they were very good then, can't wait to get it back ;D
