Hi Noakira, I took the liberty to remove your e-mail address from the post above. All members can contact each other through a "PM". Just click on the small envelope in the left window. BTW I think this is a very nice offer GvS

Hi groovy - seeing your pics reminded me of how I got mine out - Using two good nuts, lock em as tightly together as possible on the protruding threaded end of stud and with the help of some releasing fluid and two spanners keeping them locked, gradually ease the stud back and forth pausing for an occasional clout or two with a strong drift. I realise that it's too late for that now the threads have been sawn off, but it might help by laying the unit sideways to allow releasing fluid a chance to seep in - indeed it should be possible with a small drill ( say 3mm) to carefully drill down at the edge of the stud hole to make a small channel for releasing fluid to soak in for a while, maybe from both sides, Sorry I didn't remember this sooner ! Best of British !

ok, only a small update today. last night i had post the V5 and sorn declaration have come back, so the bike is now mine on paper also, i got the new (to me) right hand side panel, and a used but good rear light unit from another revere owner. £20 posted for the two, not too bad. there was also a nice little care package from David Silver: air filter oil filter secondary air filter thingy new headlight (shiny ) new exhaust gaskets (both ends) new cable guide for the front mudguard new pozi screw driver bit for my tool kit on top of that, i have bought a new exhaust....... i saw on ebay, that there was a exhaust, standard honda fit, but very vague on the details. on the picture, it looked like it might have two inlets. anyway, i won it , and i thought it has to be worth a punt? what i got was the right hand side exhaust from a VTR1000F firestorm. stainless steel thing. unfortunately only one inlet. DOH! anyway, i am going to look at the viability of fitting this to the revere, as far as fitment goes, then look to make up a 2-1 link pipe. does anyone think there would be an issue with running this on the revere?? cheers all, Lee

well, not much progress over the past week or so, too much work on had a chat with a local engineering company regarding removal of the bolt remains from the casing, and the prognosis isn't good. they basically said that it would cost me a small fortune to get them out, so i am going to keep on cracking away myself. drilling is the next step, as heat and plus gas didn't have any effect. i'll keep you updated. in other news i have managed to get a brand new in box front wheel from ebay for about £30, and a stainless exhaust whch i like the look of for £65 (haggled down from £80), should be easier than making the VTR100F one fit more to be done this afternoon and tomorrow, so hopefully i will make some progress with the bolts....... cheers, Lee
