Hi folks, I'm planning to have a bespoke seat made for my Revere, but I want to keep the original which is excellent condition. Does anyone have a spare seat that has its full shape so I can use that as the base of the new one? Don't care about tears etc but it needs to be a good solid base and have its current/standard shape....
Many thanks

No big trips planned yet, though doing Dorset to Lands End to John O'Groats to Dorset in one weekend last May did highlight certain deficiencies in the seat - namely extreme numbness in certain parts which lasted several weeks! I certainly don't want that again.... I've spoken to these guys: www.motorbike-seats.co.ukThey certainly seem to know what they're talking about - the site has a gallery of their work and they're now fitting Gel inserts for rider and pillion. If anyone has used them I would appreciate any feedback....

I used Tony Archer to completely refurbish, shape & colour code my seat on my other bike ( Honda X11 ). The guy is a true craftsman, & great value too. It cost me about £70, & that included postage to send it back. That was about two years ago.
