After a competitive quote from Honda Motorbikes insurer my current insurance broker Carol Nash dug deep and found a sharper pencil then hooked me up with Aviva Insurance for the next twelve months. Direct Line While being a great company, have of recent years been offering poorer quotes each year and have turned into a price matching insurer. I have been with them for years; for our house and buildings insurance. So this year when they tried a daft quote I had, had enough. I called Aviva and tried the existing customer angle. With loyalty discount I saved a considerable amount. Pain to have to ring round but well worth the effort. AVIVA all the way for at least the next 12 months

I covered my NTV using Highway Insurance (part of LV) although I don't get the extra discount on a bike like I do with cars using LV (civil service perk).
Current insurance third party only but with 3rd party cover on any bike I don't own came to £80, not the cheapest but I wanted the 3rd party cover.
Fully comp on my Lario is about £120 a year.
£200 for my car fully comp, but hey, I'm an old woman who can reverse a car so no accidents since I started driving in 1983.

That's cheered me up then. as well as the NTV, I have a Honda Blackbird, & I pay £152 Fully Comp' (max no claims) with Carole Nash. As I only had no claims bonus on one bike, I asked Carole Nash if I could add the NTV to the same policy. After a couple of minutes on hold, I was quoted another £20 to add it on, & that's Fully Comp' aswell. I suppose it's a sure sign I'm getting old !

Not so much of the old! Given with luck we will all live to 100, worst case we are middle age? 50 is the new 40 so by my calculation that must make us young Twist and grin and we all feel young, who cares if we 'look' old just keep wearing the full face lid and the tinted visor
