Heading north my rear caliper was running hot. Fused to the disc by Nailsworth. Interesting chap delivered me home, now interested in building a trike NTV, so not all bad. More of an update tomorrow when I strip the caliper down.

Sorry to hear about your adventure.
Were the pads really fused to the disc. Or was it just (very) difficult to rotate the rear wheel ? When everything is cooled down & you've stripped it. It probably just a lot of dirt. I clean my calipers using an old toothbrush & lots of WD-40.

PS. I rode a trike recently and this confirmed my conviction that a trike is only a sensible solution for people who have some sort of a physical handicap.

Or interestingly only have if you have a car license and went the speed without the hassle of gaining a bike license.

But over here you can buy a Piaggio MP-3 (400 cc) and ride that with your car driver's license. That's because it is a trike (technically speaking), but it does tilt when going around corners, so you do have the motorbike feeling. GvS

Re: Piaggio MP-3 (400 cc) leans and has potentially more grip on the front end, could be quite light, more engine so may even have more power than the NTV. stop stop what am I thinking. Yes the Revere will rise again, sound to good to die yet. Gutted though it was a great day on Friday when the traffic cleared, she way flying. Which may be why I cooked her so bad. Poor girl eventually stopped about 30 minutes from my destination. Almost made it. Glad I had recovery it would have been right-off time otherwise. Potentially looking like like a replacement disc and caliper at this point.
