Having seen the shop bought an the GvS version with reflective material. I started thinking about pipe I had. Having just dug this one up literally, over the weekend. Rainwater downpipe split down the back with 5mm section removed. Very early trial shot below. Next plan is to shape / potentially shorten, then add some self adhesive reflective reflective material. Plan is ready for the winter roads with protection and visibility in mind. In the words of GvS. "Why buy them if I can make them" rj,

I am in awe, this is truly the work of a Shedi Master! A quick going over with some Scotchbrite reflective tape and you're sorted.
Only thing missing is the cable ties - I presume they will appear on the finished product?

That's the plan Kirriepete, just looked on ebay and they have lots of tape. I did have some in sheet form years ago. Yes cable ties are the final fixing. Shot up the shed after work so they look a bit rough for now Hope to improve on mk2 now I know they will fit.

Just make sure the big cable stays clear of them.....the way it looks now is that it will be damaged if you hit a big hole in the road....
