Greetings all. This one goes out to the tech inclined and I guess well informed. Since I have a hard time finding Revere odd-paired casing for instruments and speedo it self, I'm wondering about installing some after market speedo. Something like this www.louis.de/_10d70d85b32678bf7d3e383da1f8895ae0/shop/shop_article_big.php?IMG=10034891_870_FR2_07&TITLE=10034891I'm wondering if this can be done since I cant find the info on speedo cable screw thread. Is it M 12 x 1 mm or something else? If anyone has some other alternative feel free to suggest. I cant bust my head over this any more. Thx in advance for any answer you might give. Mux

I've seen something similar and thought of it for one of my Beemers. They're rather neat. The one I've seen had a set of indicator LEDs around the edge for Rev Counter and could be set up for any bike with electronic rev counter (like an NTV). It also had warning lights in the middle, like this one.
I'm pretty sure the thread at the back of the instrument is a standard size for all bikes.
Inputs you would need: Mechanical cable drive for the Speedo Electrical input for the rev counter Electrical input for warning lights Separate Earth
This option would not give you an engine temperature gauge. Unless you retained the original temp gauge, you would need to figure something out to provide a new one, or deal with some bare ended wires
You may need to adapt wiring loom for Rev Counter and warning lights.
No way of getting the package delivered somewhere in the UK and forwarded on, or picked up by a courier instructed by you?
I would offer to act as a middle man for you, but regret I'm not really in one place for long enough and haven't a suitable mail address to send anything to.
If I can find the details of the composite speedo I fond, I will post with info.

Thx McF. I thought as much, that thread is sort of "universal" for bikes. Well I still have my original rev counter with temp gauge. So it would be a matter of hooking up light cables to the device. This particular model of the clock doesn't have rev counter on it. If I actualy buy it I'll be sure to post some photos of it on the bike. Seems to me it's a good option.
And it would pose to much trouble to organize everything so I can get my hands on some second hand Revere tacho. Since it would sum up to more or less 50 euros for it to get here probably. I can buy new instrument like on the picture for aprox. 65.
I'll just try and buy this second hand one on ebay first I guess.
Thx anyway for the answer.
Ride safe all
