mot time in a few weeks..my exhaust getting a bit loud..cheap or make a trade with a few parts i have..e.g full fairing,rear wheel etc

found a hole in collecter box..would metal putty be strong enough to fill it?

Don't see why not, I swear by some stuff called QuickSteel, I used it to patch up the collector on my pan many years ago and it worked a treat.

I'm a big fan of epoxy metal too.
Depending on how big the hole is this stuff should work, but you may be better off with firegum or similar. You can buy the paste on its own or with a bandage.
If it is a big hole, you will be better off with the bandage and repair kit as the pressure inside the collector can get quite high and will blow the repair off
