Hi this is the answer to the high footrests on the ntv, buy a set off the honda deauville, you can use the ntv gear change if you want ( i bought the deauville one )but the ntv one must be used on the gear box splines ( as the caseing is not the same) i first used the ntv brake pedal but it is a bit high so i have bought a deauville one (not fitted it yet,) you can use the ntv rear master cylinder, the footrests are about 1-1 1/2 inchs lower and about the same forward, if you do not have panniers it would be easyer. any q please ask,

Outlaw, Are these a direct bolt on mod or did you need to do any engineering work, I'd like to know as this mod could make my bike alot more usable for me (mangled legs ) Cheers Andi

(Are these a direct bolt on mod? ) YES they are, every thing line,s up you do not even have to disconnect the brake pipes you will need two long 6mm bolts as the rear brake cylinder bolts to the ntv, but with the deauville the bolts go throught , if you use the ntv brake pedal you will need a small spacer, i cut a small pice off a old pair of handle bars about 3/4 mm thick or buy washers, on the gear side it bolts straight on, any moe please ask. outlaw

This looks like a handy mod worthy of our projects section.

That's a really useful mod, Outlaw. What year/model Deauville did the brackets come off? Do you know if all the models are the same or if only the ones you have will fit? Where did you get yours from? (Well you did say, please ask!)

Yours is I think a better option Outlaw, but this is another option I found on an ebay bike some time back.

The break pedal looks like a major improvement.

Nice job outlaw. I thinking about it too (since when I NTV bought). Is it big different?Al holes and bolts normally fit? Could you estimate price of this exchange? Thanx
P.S. I found both footrests and price is 90pouds together

Just checked with outlaw. As far as he knows any one from 1998 on wards will fit, but it must be the 650.
Clearly buy at your own risk, but having seen them close it does look tidy.
The foot break looks the biggest improvement for me which I think you can also do as an individual modification.
on ebay the left and right hangers seem to start around £25 uk each and the rear break pedal is about £15 - £20. Then say another £15 for the gear leaver.
So not cheap if you want to rush. But if you waited and collected parts as they cam up you will be able to do it cheaper I suspect.

I've taken the plunge to do this mod, bits have arrived - 2 Deauville hangers and a Deauville brake pedal. I'll find time to do it this next weekend, will post some photos as well!
