hi all, after purchasing my ntv 650p just before christmas for a very nice 250 smackers i am now going to be giving it an overhaul. guna drop the engine so i can sort out my rusty frame, repaint forks, panels and wheels. ive also got a half fairing turning up today or tommorow to offer me some protection from the elements. i have taken photos but cannot fing my lead to connect the camera to the computer so il find that and take some pictures when the bike is finished (roughly 2 weeks) then il post the before and after pictures all in one go.

it was a bargain price. the bike cosmetically was rough as old boots but the engine was spot on and the other day my clocks rolled over to 13,000 miles so the bike hasnt done anything mileage wise. just applied my final coat of paint to the frame and now i see no rust which is kind nice

just an update on the ntv , the frame is now fully cured and looking so much better than before, ive put on a new seat cover which wasnt meant for a particular bike but just come in a huge square sheet and it only cost 12quid from ebay. it was ok to do the job myself and i would seriously recommend people try and recover their own seats as it works out much cheaper and you have also got the choice to alter the seat foam. i used a piece of underlay that was in my shed and built up the riders seat which has given me about an inch rise in the saddle which has an incredible effect (really does). all you need to do the job is obviously the vinyl , good scissors , carpet spray glue , industrial stapler and a hair dryer which was helpful as you can heat up the underneath of the seat base which makes stapling so much easier. the wheels and so on have been cleaned and will be resprayed soonish. il stick some pictures up as soon as i can. hope everyone is well
