I have a 1997 NTV650, & the forks are now pretty pitted & nasty looking. A friend has got a spare set of NTV600 forks, in great condition that I can have for a small fee. Before I commit though, I need to know if they will fit as a straight change over ? Are the forks the same length & diameter, so will fit straight into my original yokes?

Looked up Haynes Seems all models have 41mm dia. forks, and both NTV600s and NTV650s have 130mm travel The 600 has separate handlebars, so I too would wonder if the tubes are longer in order to allow the extra depth to which to clamp a handlebar on each side?? That's all I could find Someone on here will know which parts can be fitted easily Meantime, if you can, maybe doing the following would help? Put your 650 on centre-stand, get someone to lean down on the pillion-seat so the forks are fully extended Measure: 1] From top of slider to underside of lower triple-clamp 2] from centre of front-wheel spindle to underside of lower triple-clamp Do the same on the 600, or (Judging by marks if dis-assembled?...) Compare HTH All the best, from ED-CASE

Hi,
Currently going through this myself and have the chance to purchase some 600 forks for my 650
Did you ever find out if they fit?
