Ever wondered how those planes that drop tons of water on Forest Fires fill their water tanks?
Neither had I until I found this very impressive clip

At 0:44 you can see water coming out of the plane, just under the wing. That's the overflow of the water tank, which means the tanks are full. GvS (I watch Discovery channel a lot, so you get to know the 'useful' bits of information..... )

nice clip.... I too watch tv and i am sure there was a CSI episode were a death had occurred suspiciously to one of the residents during a forest fire up in the hills and the team came across a frogman/diver. turns out he was scooped up when the plane dropped down for water and was then dropped from a good height onto the fire itself...nasty. Had wondered then how they did stop for water... ain't tv and the internet wonderful. making us all so clever...... ;D Right got to go now and have another go at splitting that atom... see ya all...
