been using choke to start bike on these freezing mornings but cable gets stuck ..must be due to frost as it free by time i use bike later..any ideas?

Perhaps the grease in the cable/splitter get's frozen? If that's not it, have a look at the splitter and see if the cablecovers stay in place when using/releasing the choke.

hi mate, the splitter can get water in and as such on these cold mornings it freezes and the choke sticks. But as the engine wams it melts and the operation works.
You could take apart the choke cables and lube with a good silicone spray as the cables are coated in plastic. or buy a new set off ebay i think i got a new set for less than a tenner, quick tip if you do this then before you put the needle assemblys back in carb bodies give holes a good clean out and liberally spray plungers with wd40 for abit extra lube.

It may also be an idea to leave the choke on overnight, Norfolk does that and his bike starts a whole lot easier.
