Yes I agree, brilliant. I'm familiar with the excelent stuff that pelican makes. (Where I work some of the more expensive equipment is kept in pelicases) But I didn'n know they make cases with a see-through lid. However, I am wondering if you'll be able to see the screen clearly on a sunny day. On my first prototype I also had the whole sat.nav. packed inside clear plastic. But I found out that I couldn't see the screen clearly. (This could of course be due to my age or the fact that the sat.nav. I use was designed for use in a car cage) Also this set-up doesn't have a power supply to the sat.nav., so it does limit the time you can use it a bit. Althought the batteries inside the Garmin sat.nav's are very good. I think mine lasted about 6 hours once. For those of you unfamiliar with my set up; here's a link: www.stoeretassen.nl/My_NTV650/Navigatie/Navigation.htmAlthough my sat.nav. doesn't have any rain protection, I now know that I can use it in light to moderate rain, as long as I keep going. Only if I stop there's a small chance that a few drops of rain will get on the device. GvS

It does look good.
Always great to have another builder on the team.
May be a GvS anti glare surround for the summer.
The only thought I had was 4 'O' rings to waterproof the screw holes on the rear of the case, not that you may get much water there. I guess a layer of silicone would do the same.
