Hi All I have been restoring an old 600 revere ready for winter and have realised the headlamp bracket is broken. I have got a second hand one of ebay but to behonest do not want to fit it. To reroute all the cables sounds like a fidsly job to me. What I am wanting to do is fit some universal fork mounted headlamp brackets. Can anyone reccomend any that they have used or point me in the direction to some that would be suitable. Thanks in advance. P.S i have a second hand headlamp bracket for sale. Good condition, painted in hammerite silver, attached also is the 2 originally chrome bits, but also hammerited, that stick out which the headlamp bolts to. Open to offers if anyone wants it. Can sort out a pic if need be.

If you pm me your address, I will send you a battered set of alloy universal brackets, complete with rubber inserts designed to protect the forks, and maybe slightly reduce vibes at the headlamp. NOTE, THEY WILL DEFEAT ANY ATTEMPT TO WIN A CONCOURS D'ELEGEANCE...... ;D All the best Ed

cb1300rider Very sorry if I made this job sound hard. It's just that I have never done anything with engines etc.. IT, Plumbing, Carpentry, Bricklaying etc. is more my thing. Changing the headlamp frame is not that hard. 1.) Remove the horns. 2.) Remove the lower support bracket. 3.) Slacken off the clutch where it meets the engine. 4.) unsrcew the switches from the bars. 5.) Rethread the cables. All the remove the tank ... was due to my lack of skill and not required. Clip-ons are a tidy solution and one I did consider, so your choice. I only bought the replacement frame as I was going to pay to have the work done and thought it would speed up the process. Then I thought. I think I can do this.. Good luck either way. happy to help via phone / email as required. Roger
