110 is as far as mine has gone, felt there might have been a little bit more togo, but buffering and making my arms longer than they should have been, i aborted any more twist of the trottle.

Can't see the point of much more at the top end as the boys in blue tend to cut up your licence over 100mph. I guess it does mean it would get to 70mph faster ;D

I guess it does mean it would get to 70mph faster ;D Having a good top speed does mean you have plenty on reserve for unexpected emergencies; it also means you can cruise at motorway speeds in a "happier" part of the power range and yup, it generally does mean you can get to 70 a little quicker. at the end of the day, it's the "nut on the handlebars" that regulates how much of the maximum speed is used.

For those interested in restricted bikes, my NTV600 with 33bhp restrictors in place tops out at an indicated 92mph, probably about 86 real mph give or take. It's a fairly swift tail-off too, it romps all the way to 80mph in a trice, probably not much slower than an unrestricted bike, but then it all disappears quite rapidly.
Perfectly adequate for me as it happens, I never ride over about 65 constantly, and only 75 or 80 if overtaking.

I`ve seen over 125 MPH on the clock but if you take off a `normal` clock correction figure of say 10% you end up with 112.5 so around 115 is spot on. For what it`s worth mine will do this easily even loaded and two up, they are geared perfectly for the available power. Honda did a great job with that, 80 to 90 on the motorway is effortless and way off the redline.
