It strikes again First things first: I'm having one of my 'little communication on the net periods'. Nothing special...just like the seasons, it will pass. But what strikes again? The bl^%$^%dy fuelpump demon Just driving down a (thankfully) quiet back road when I feel the familiar stutter of an empty tank....but the fuel wasn't out.... Pulled over to a bit of pavement from a roadside company and tried starting her....no luck. Fortunately I always (well nearly) come equipped with some tools and by-passing the fuel pump was easy. Started without a hitch Now to find a nice replacement....not even going to try and fix the thing...the Revere deserves a few nice shiny new parts once in a while (Yes GvS, I will check out your page ) I'll let you know once it's running again....and try to take pictures.

Interesting....you can actually get revision sets for the fuel pump. At only €38 (33 + diode modification to stop it happening again!) it sounds like a much cheaper option then replacing the whole thing... The person selling them is located near my work place, so I guess I'll contact him soon and find out if it works.... That is....after I check if the contacts in the pump are to blame....
