Or that's where the project started. I did not want to add a screen when the frame was broken so I thought the easiest way was to by one on ebay and then simply exchange it. Simples. I now have a lamp bracket for an NTV I think. Oops. I now have another REVERE lamp bracket touched up and ready for the weekend. I have also done some TLC on the inside of the headlamp. Improvement, if not visually :-).

She rides well. I may be dreaming but she seem to pull better. I suspect I am just twisting harder It reminds me, as a young lad I added cardboard held onto the forks of my push bike with pegs. Sounded great, or it did when I was ten ;D. She is sounding more beefy by the day as I think my exhaust is on the way out. shame as it still looks good. I assume there is some exhaust tape I could wrap round it for a few months?

Actually, because of the screen keeping the wind of your chest you twist more for the same wind pressure....and she feels faster (I had mine with screen on and off....I like it more with)

I assume there is some exhaust tape I could wrap round it for a few months? Take a look under the engine in the area where your centre stand is. The two exhaust header pipes (stainless steel) enter a collection box which is painted mild steel. Welded to the other side of the collection box is the chromed silencer. If the silencer is still looking good (it was last time I saw it) It's quite likely the collection box is growing a hole. You can get "exhaust bandage", to cover a hole (eg Halfords www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_categoryId_165691_productId_193099_langId_-1?cm_mmc=Shopping-_-Google%20Product%20Search-_-Body+Repair%2FTapes+%26+Glues-_-Halfords+Exhaust+Repair+Bandage&source=shopping&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=lixrmx&istBid=t but any car shop will sell this) It's easy to do, provided you have access to the hole - just hope it isn't on the top side of the collection box!. If it's only a small hole and you cannot find it. Start the bike up, warm up so it will tick over comfortably, get a friend to plug the end of the silencer with a rag (so they don't burn their hands) while you examine the exhaust system. Listen for escaping air, or pass your hands close to (but not touching if its hot) the exhaust and feel for the escaping air. Your friend may need to keep releasing the rag to prevent pressure build up in the exhaust as that will cause the engine to stall. If the exhaust bandage is suitable, make sure you clean loose material etc from the site and apply a generous overlap. I'm afraid you will have to run the engine hot to cure the bandage so a test ride is mandatory ;D

and re-reading your thread, I'd forgotten that the headlamp bracket is different for the 600 and 650. Another reason why swapping the top yoke on its own could be problematic. You don't need to have the headlamp bracket if you use brackets that clamp on to the upper stanchions, but that only becomes another expense.

I know what your saying when you say it feels faster... my NTV trike WAS restricted and going up a dual carridgeway with the wind agaist you ... can real feel is struggle on some of the hills, but duck down behind the screen made all the difference.... apart from the fact i looked like a prat !!! or looked like i had fallen asleep on the tank bag
