Hi I have a mishmash of an ntv, and am not sure what model the rear brake caliper is from, it does not have a pad plate on the caliper bracket as per the drawing in the haynes manual and the bracket itself is worn so the pads wont move smoothly. Does anyone know if the brackets were modified at anytime? Any info much appreciated

hi,
Not to sure on this but you may have a caliper off a cbr600f, can't say for sure without seeing it though. Alot of parts between the two bikes are interchangeable.
However if your not sure what the caliper is off then getting a set of pads to fit let alone a new set of guide pins will be a nightmare.
I think there is a few back calipers floating around ebay at the min for not much money, you would be better off getting one of those and re-furbing it. Then you know what you have.
cheers ed

Thanks very much guys, the problem is the mounting bracket it is so badly worn the pads won't sit properly, it has been used without the little pad plate in place so the pads have been sitting directly on the alloy! I have got another bracket but that's not much better. JJ if the bracket on the caliper you have is OK let me know what you want for it? thanks again spg
