The idea credit goes to peter6220 an NTV rider on ebay. and a well done on an interesting find goes to oddjob1.Honda NTV650 project. the frame is from a 1993 bike. (Click on the images for a larger view)
(content credit below goes to peter from his ebay add and from an email he was kind enough to send me) The seat sub frame has been shortened, centre stand brackets removed plus any other bits and pieces on the frame that were not required. The seat came off ebay and the seller said it came off a fire blade but i suspect it is an after market one. I had to make a subframe for the seat and weld mounting brackets onto the frame. The seat unit has had all the brackets made and the mountings are in place for the rear light and indicators. I have welded hangers on the frame to take the 2 silencers that are off an aprillia falco and the exhausts have all been fabricated from stainless steel and come complete with all clamps. The battery tray/mudguard has been modified to suit but may need a bit of fine tuning as it was roughly cut to shape. The side panels have been moulded from fibre glass and come with the brackets to mount them which utilises dzus fasteners. The petrol tank was bought off ebay to use as a jig for locating the side panels ,it would appear to be dent free but it has about 1 millimetre of high build primer and a very artistic top coat on it.

The orange one looks interesting but it would not tempt me to foresake the mighty Pan for my 320 mile commute
