Thought it worth having a thread of my own
Well last week I had a bit of work to do on the mighty Pan.
New Steering Head Bearings (I got my local chap to do this for me) MOT - passed - hurrah Set of new tyres - Avon Storm Front and Rear New Front Brake Pads
While the wheels were out and I was messing around with the front brakes, I gave all calipers a bit of TLC - clean up and regrease floating pins.
Got it all back together again today and between rain showers thought "A Test Ride" and "let's trial a new mounting arrangement for the ATC Bullt Camera
So I decided to ride back up to Brotton and the road to Saltburn, retracing the original route No time to edit the film, or render it down in size, so apologies for any lengthy download times.
The ride out
and the ride back will be uploaded soon

Shame you got stuck behind the old driver on a day trip! But then again on new tyres he may have done you a favour.
On a clear dry run that road looks like it could be fun.

Things are improving all of the time! Here is the camera mounted on the Pan I had a good ride, with another clip to follow onceI can upload it. I've now got approx 60 miles on my new tyres, look at the chicken strips already! I need to back off a little ;D I did think I needed to get back into the bike after a 3 month break and was a little apprehensive on some corners thinking "you're pushing this a little far" Now I know why - because I was!!

First thought was yes..! New Tyres bad boy. It did look fun though, but take care. Pushing hard and passing close is risky. I actually prefer watching the mighty pan flowing through the bends. The roads looked interesting, but take care as your camera tends to show you may be closer to the white lines than your of course are. Like the roads. Ride safe. R.

First thought was yes..! New Tyres bad boy. That's me ;D It did look fun though, but take care. Pushing hard and passing close is risky. It was an excellent ride and got better on the clip I haven't posted yet. I wasn't pushing hard and there was plenty of room on the overtakes. I think the camera without any visible reference (handlebars etc) gives a false illusion The roads looked interesting, but take care as your camera tends to show you may be closer to the white lines than your of course are. There are some excellent roads. The camera was mounted on the right side, under the mirror, as you can probably see. As above, it may be a false illusion, but I was taking it reasonably easy and was always within the lines etc

I borrowed one of these for a few days and tried a test run this evening with it strapped (cable tied) to the headlamp bracket. However the camera was at an odd angle hence I have a 45 degree video . Ignoring the angle for now; the quality is very poor compared to yours with mine set on top quality? I can only assume your solid fixing, improves things in addition to the location on the wing mirror mount; which in an ideal world would not vibrate. RJ
