While not extremely important, or maybe even placed correctly, i am wondering if anybody knows of a good place to get paint matched? I have Nissan blue on my bike, and it seems that its begining to fade in a place or 2, i have T cut it, but seem to have a couple of areas that could come up a little better. Regards Rich i know its a commuter, i just like it to look its best'

Any auto paint shop will have a colour chart for you to match it too
ive just done Hubs tank & panels with an almost perfect match............age is the problem

Halfords have a good service, but you need the code for them to mix; I don't think they can match a colour sample. B&Q used to advertise a service of matching a colour to anything, but I don't know if that was only for household gloss and emulsion. My father recently had a panel resprayed on his old freelander (much weathered and farm used), light green metallic (an awkward colour I'm told). The guy who did it had a mobile service and made a colour match which was pretty good. If you want to do the job yourself and you know the code, it's worth getting a can ready made up (if you can find it), or get Halfords to mix a batch for you. I'd then suggest respraying the whole panel / tank to get an even finish. It shouldn't contrast too much with the adjacent panels. I'm assuming that as you have a non Honda colour, you're not sporting NTV decals? Therefore, it might be worth getting enough paint to do all of the panels, tank and front mudguard for a nice "spring clean". For less than £10 you could even apply some Honda Wings on the tank bikegraphics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1601and for a really smart and lasting job, top it all of with a coat of lacquer.

Of the paintwork, or the person doing the spraying

age of paint you can match up the paint with original colour but as it fades it changes colour
even with the same paint it will look different
