I will probably get in trouble for practically double thread posting, but here goes, this would make a good rideout and have also put this in the section for camping. This place is beautiful, and scenic, in wiltshire, near a small community called Crockerton. This is the location, take a look in relation to where you live maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=shearwater+crockerton&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=13.335749,39.506836&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Shearwater,+Crockerton,+Warminster,+Wiltshire+BA12+8AE,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.1775,-2.209325&spn=0.006901,0.01929&z=16 They have a camp and caravan site, so it could be ideal, we could all meet at a mutual location to be arranged, and ride from bath (possibly and through a scenic route) to shear water. There is a beautiful forest centred by a lake used by the locals to swim, in the summer this is amazing, in the current sunshine state i was inspired. If anyone in the surrounding areas show interest, i'll look at booking some camping spots, and we can tent up, or even B and B for the ppl that feel the cold. We can look at making this in may - June time. lets see some hands first though! Attachments:

I will probably get in trouble for practically double thread posting Not at all! Crack on - we'll give you a BOGOF deal with your invoice at the end of the month ;D ;D Wilts is a fantastic county and I thought I knew the area around Warminster well, but I'm not familiar with Shearwater - always something new to learn! Ride / Camp out sounds good - new ideas and enthusiasm are welcome and offset your bill for posting this month ;D Looks like the Battlefield Tour www.ntvhonda.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rideouts2010&thread=1011&page=1I was going to host in North West France isn't going to happen in June, (possibly rearrange for Sept?) so we might be able to sort something in UK instead.

Well this will be really simple, we'll do some marsh mellows round a burner, a few cokes at the pub, and a beer to those that stop over.
We'll have a slow mill in the countryside which i will look at plotting, we'll visit the white horse, maybe even have a mini picnic lol.
There is a fair bit to see.
A quick brainstorm and i could suggest seeing stonehenge, heading across the smaller villages to the Avebury stones, and back round to see the white horse and back to shearwater to camp.

Sounds good.. ;D
I can't do early June, but.............. 19th, 20th or 26th 27th June would be good with me..
Not sure that McF hasn't got something on around those dates, so later would be ok for me as well.

ok thats is something, so that makes at very least a possible 3. Arr you relatively close to Wiltshire? 2 - 2.5 hours for me. If I'm able to go, I'd plan on an overnight stop, under the stars, but hopefully not like this: The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After their tent is all set up, they fell sound asleep. One hour later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, Kemo-Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars." "What that tell you?" asked Tonto. The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute, then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially millions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?" Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo-Sabe, you dumb ass. Someone stole tent." ;D

Well it doesn't matter if there is 2 or 20 of us, i'll still go ahead with it, i was there today, i will have to post some more pictures, absolutely heavenly place, just don't know what its doing in England, its a nature reserve.
I'm going to have to find this camp site nearby, i planned to ask in the kings arm local to shear water today, but my friend was more interested in going off the beaten road down some random country road, my back wheel stepped out more then once (Battalax tyres too)
