I've been out ridind all day and have come across a more pressing issue, just had to push my bike back 2 miles; all electrics started to flicker, cutting on and off, then all died, no lights, indicators, starter motor, nothing.
All fuses are unblown from appearances, and the charging system did seem to be working fine as the light did brighten under reving the engine. So i am baffled!
Could it be the battery, or ,more likely a connection in the ignition or the loom?
Please help!

Are you sure the main fuse is unblown? Try putting a bit of wire across the terminals just to check - I've had fuses look fine when they've got a hairline break, then .....
Just like someone jiggled and then turned the key off? Then that's the next place I'd look, the connector from the lock into the main loom, after that I'd go for the battery connections, then everything else.

Aaah, weak spot! Electrickery - white mans' magic Sorry to hear your enjoyment was cut short - nothing worse than a ride that doesn't end properly.
Interesting perhaps to know what happened when your bike died - did she fade away or just cut out abruptly? Has she been starting OK and running well recently?
A quick diagnosis: All electricity gone so it must be something common to all, which narrows it down and probably rules out ignition.
As Kirrie says - worth checking your fuses, a simple meter on continuity check is what I'd use. The 30A fuse is behind the left side panel and part of the starter relay block. If a fuse has blown it is very important to establish why before you can rely on the bike again.
Battery and Earth is where I'd start next. Get a 12V bulb and connect across the battery - that should at least tell you if there is juice in the battery. Have you got a charger/conditioner? If so, they're very good at telling you the condition of the battery. Remove your battery and clean the terminals, put a spot of vaseline on before reconnecting, do the same with your earth strap. Have a good look at any of the bigger connections coming from the battery side and clean them then a spot of vaseline. Battery Rectifier next - they are in a stoopid place, very little cooling (not likely to be a problem at this time of year!) but they also get full of crap. Difficult to check without some special kit and more knowledge than I have got, but they are pretty standard so any reasonably similar bike (ideally Honda for connections) should be swappable.

it did turn out to be the starter solenoid fuse, the 30amper, the reason was a faulty block connector, all in all it became a literal 15 minute job this morning.
If only every problem was as easily solved. I'm now carrying around a 30amp in my wallet, and more tools, a socket set with 10mm socket and posi-drive added to my arsenal.
Done 30 miles today on her down by shear water nr Warminster, all is well!

Great news well done Still worth doing some of the remedial stuff with cleaning and vaseline (on the battery connections etc) ;D If only every problem was as easily solved. If only...
