Hi there Well, my NTV's front caliper is w*nkered, so I'm looking for a replacement. I noticed that the Deauvilles from 1998-2002 have some nice looking Brembo calipers (before the year they changed them to the Nissin ones again). Does anyone know if the mounting holes for the caliper on the NTV and the Deauville's lower forks are the same pitch? If so I'd love to try sticking some good calipers on there. I was also toying with the idea of putting an entire Deauville front-end on there, i.e. lower forks, wheel, two discs, two calipers, Deaville mudguard. Any thoughts? Has this been done before? Cheers for any info.

The earlier deauvilles are pretty similar to the NTV, but I wouldn't know if it would be a straight swap.... Although, I would imagine it would fit, don't see why they would change things that much...

I remember seeing a web-site where it was explained how to do this. Apparently it wasn't difficult. I just checked and unfortunately the site isn't there anymore GvS

Cheers guys, looks like the Hornet uses the same model of caliper as the NTV, a Nissin one. I don't really mind what model of caliper I get, as long as its reasonably new - and those Hornet ones seem to be readily available from the year 2000 onwards, which is good. @ Graaf: Do you still have the address of the website that's no longer there? There may be a small chance it got archived at archive.org if you put in its old URL. I guess the best thing to do would be to ask a Deauville owner to measure the pitch of the caliper mounts.

I read somewhere recently that all that was required was to fit the fork sliders from the Deauville and this also gives the benefit of a twin disc set up.
