That map is starting to look very busy and extremely informative - wow On a point re the Battlefield Tour, I had a few hours to kill today and found the Musuem of Army Flying www.flying-museum.org.uk/ was only a short drive down the road, so off I went for a 2 hour look around. It's well worth a visit, especially if like me, you get the whole place to yourself (not another visitor!) Two simulators to try (sadly I didn't have time) but an excellent hand / eye coordination experiment. A seat, rudder pedals and joystick from a helicopter. The joystick was connected to a circular flat plate approx 200mm in diameter. On top of the plate was a perspex sheet and in the middle was a ball bearing. A small circle approx 40mm diameter was scribed in the centre. The object was to balance the plate with the ball bearing in the circle, using the joystick. Took me about 5 minutes to sort myself out then a further 5 minutes and I could keep the ball in the circle for a short while For all those budding pilots (RJ, Sky?), this was excellent, I could have sat in there a lot longer. Anyway, a lot of dioramas and information about the development of military aviation. I tried to pay close attention to the WW1 era
